Crispana® combines crunchy iceberg with subtle, tasty cos to form a very special lettuce! Crispana® is grown in the same way as mini cos lettuce. It is planted between March and August. Where planting conditions are dry, the plants should be watered immediately after planting. It is the right time to harvest when the head feels solid.

Preparation

Around 24 cm long, the modern, elegant Crispana® is a must in any cuisine. Our Crispana® is slightly sweeter than cos lettuce and contains no bitter flavours, unlike iceberg lettuce. Once the stalk has been removed, the entire head can be prepared as a wonderfully fresh salad.

Storage/preservation

Crispana® will keep for a week or more in the vegetable drawer of the fridge without losing its freshness or taste.
